Interviews on the Russian affair – Steve Bannon denies many statements

In the special investigations into the Russia affair, the ex-chief strategist of US President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, has been interviewed. However, he partially refused the statement.

Robert Mueller, US special investigator for the Russia affair, has interviewed former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon this week, according to a media report this week. CNN’s television news base reported Thursday that Muller’s team’s ex-advisor was interviewed by President Donald Trump for two days for two hours. Bannon replied to all questions and commented on all topics.

Illegal agreements?
Mueller is investigating whether there was illegal collusion between Trump’s campaign team and the Russian government, and whether Trump later as President tried to obstruct the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigating the Russian Federation. The affair is being investigated by the special investigator and several congressional committees.

Bannon was also interviewed by the House’s Intelligence Committee on Thursday. But he refused to answer many questions about the government and his time in the White House. As in a questionnaire in January, he referred to the so-called executive privilege. Under this prerogative, the President is authorized to withhold from Congress certain information.
